How were you treated during the push-back? | We were hit, injured, shouted at, threatened, forced to strip, lost all our belongings, deprived of food and water. This was the most difficult night of my life. Croatian police found and arrested us around 3 am. They handed us to an SUV with masked people. The drove us to the Bosnian borders and there they started to beat us up. They stripped us from our clothes and shoes and then said that we should jump into the river. We refused to do so, so they beat us up until we voluntarily jumped in the river not knowing how deep or not the river was and the jump was incredibly painful. |
